What are they doing?
Our client is part of one of the largest online gaming concerns in the world. In every Las Vegas movie, you will see them at least once! We as consumers can use their online casino and sports betting services. You can think about different table games, video slots, jackpots, poker and live betting. You may recall that this is an international organization and the language of operation is exclusively English. They have offices in the UK, Spain, Ukraine, Italy, Poland, Sweden and the Netherlands. As you can imagine, the people working here, have a very diverse background. Everyone is welcome regardless of the gender, religion, political beliefs, age, gender, disability, etc. They all have a common goal: create the best product on the market for the customers.
You don't get that big just like that. That's because this company sees itself as a high-tech game company where the quality of the software is paramount. They use the latest techniques and the challenge is to handle the high traffic of millions of users per day. To handle all the traffic, they are now expanding their team in the Netherlands, which is located in the far east. No worries, you only have to be once every two weeks in the office. What will you be doing?
Due to their growth, there is a lot to take on. To start with, you will be working in the multinational team located over all the different locations. They work in an agile way of working where they work intensively together. You can consider it as working for your own products, as you will deliver a high value and direct impact to the organization. All you need to make sure, is that your code is of the highest quality and scalable.
Summary of your work:
- Deliver tasks and designs effective solutions to product features or small scope engineering challenges.
- Onboarding or mentoring of engineers
- Provide clear and actionable technical feedback on pull requests.
- Contribute, build and maintain parts of the multi brand framework.
- Thinking about stakeholder expectations and managing that into tech.
What do you need to have?
Years of working experience is less important than the products, size, quality, etc of the code you have worked on. Keep in mind that you will be working on products that will be used by millions. Therefore, you will be delivered an assessment which takes around 6 hours to complete. This is part of the process to ensure the quality!
Proven skills in:
- React.JS
- Typescript
- Next.JS, GrapQL
As you will be the senior developer and future leader of the team where you will be guiding the new medior en junior developers, your soft skills are important.
