What is it that they do?

At Purple Digital Storytelling, we are looking for a new colleague who shares our passion for technology, creativity, and storytelling.

We help our clients create attention-grabbing moments in the growing experience economy. We combine the power of storytelling, kick-ass visual content, and technology that amazes your senses. As a Full-Stack Developer, you work on Hyro, our story design platform, which clients use to build presentations, meetings, training, product reveals, and interactive signage.

What will you be doing?

Your work enhances the interactivity options in the spaces we create. For instance, you might improve real-time collaboration in our story designer or build a feature that allows users to configure media as triggers for other content. You will refine current features and boost the platform's performance and reliability. You participate in the entire product lifecycle, from idea to implementation. We are a small, close-knit team, and we plan to expand over the year to continue delivering value to our users.

The goal within the organization is to always innovate and improve. This gives you a lot of freedom to provide your input and ideas. Whether this is interactivity in the space's create, polishing current features or platform improving performance and reliability; you'll be part of the whole product lifecycle.

How would you fit in?

• As a Full-Stack Developer with a heavy backend focus, you take ownership of the features you work on. You and your team are responsible for your software's technical requirements, architecture, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• You are passionate about programming and engineering.
• You write readable, robust, and testable code.
• You work mainly with TypeScript, React, and Node.js, and you know your way around SQL, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• You enjoy learning and taking on challenges. You share knowledge with your team and welcome questions and feedback.
• You take initiative, and you can work independently. You share progress with your stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience using TypeScript, Node.js, and React
• Solid level of spoken and written English
• Team player
• You are living in the Netherlands and are able to come to our office in Halfweg-Zwanenburg
