Job description
As a Backend Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing and optimizing the technical backbone of the platform. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Designing Architecture: Building scalable and efficient backend systems.
- API Development: Implementing RESTful APIs using Python and PostgreSQL, critical to the platform’s functionality.
- Database Management: Optimizing relational databases, crafting complex and efficient SQL queries, and handling database migrations.
- Ensuring Quality: Contributing to the platform’s reliability through code reviews and thorough testing.
- Mentorship: Guiding junior developers and sharing your expertise with the team.
- Driving Innovation: Exploring and integrating the latest technologies to enhance the platform further.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in backend development.
- Strong proficiency in Python and extensive experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
- Experience developing scalable systems and working in cloud environments like AWS.
- Familiarity with tools such as Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of frameworks like Pydantic and SQLModel is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a problem-solving attitude.
