Do you want to work in an environment with in-house developed products where you are not bound by frameworks?
What is it that they do?
As mentioned, they have their own developed products. The key core of these products revolves around e-mail marketing. With their products, they are the market leader in the Netherlands.
Of course, this is not just any piece of software. After many years of development since 2000, the SaaS has been developed to the point where all data has been processed for a perfectly personalized user experience. So they have three different products based on marketing software and 2 email products. Now that they are a major player in the Netherlands, they are going to explore and conquer the international market as well. Being proud of their quality, they have also released several open source libraries on GitHub.
Not to be judged on input, but rather on output? This is possible in a nice hybrid working environment where you have to be present at least twice a week at their beautiful office next to Amsterdam central station. In an open work culture where feedback is encouraged, they want you to excel in order to get the best out of yourself! Besides the cool work they do, there is an original Amsterdam culture where there is always something to do with your colleagues in a close atmosphere. What will you be doing?
You will be primarily engaged in improving the three core products. But as there are so many projects to get involved with at the moment, extra hands are more than welcome! The front-end of the products are mainly single-page applications written in plain JavaScript, HTML and LESS in an in-house developed library that uses a functional component approach in an OOP structure.
So because there are so many projects to take on, your work is nice and diverse. From improving the existing code to developing new applications. You will be working with the latest JavaScript versions that deal with a lot of data that is processed on the basis of promises. This data is retrieved by means of WebSockets and RESTapi's. The backend is written in PHP, so do you have ambitions to go fullstack or to go backend? Possible!
You will be working in multidisciplinary teams to realize the company goals together. This is also to challenge you to look beyond what you already know and are able to do!
When will you be qualified?
Actually, it is very simple. You enjoy working with the latest technologies and are a real JavaScript fan.
What we expect from you as a minimum:
- 3 years of experience with the latest versions of JavaScript
- jQuery
- CSS and HTML
- English speaking and writing
- Living in the Netherlands
This will give you a big head start:
- Linux experience
- UI/UX experience
- Functional component design
- PHP
- REST API
