Smartphonehoesjes.nl was founded in 2011 in Martijn Hooft's attic, with the goal of offering affordable phone accessories to everyone. At the age of 20, he started selling to small resellers. Due to its success, his brother Stefan soon joined to provide logistical support. Finally, brother Marcel joined, and the online webshop was launched. In 13 years, they have become the market leader with a turnover of over 50 million euros.

While the family atmosphere and entrepreneurship are still evident in the company, it has undergone significant professionalization in recent years. They are currently expanding their position as a European market leader. They are currently active in 5 different countries, processing between 8,000 and 20,000 orders every day.

Currently, there are around 175 employees, including 7 developers, 3 of whom have the same specialization as you, namely Magento.

Job Description

Your role is crucial in realizing their ambition to make the company as smart and scalable as possible using the latest technologies. You will have the opportunity to build new features for millions of visitors from different countries and always strive to find ways to improve, speed up, and make the webshops more efficient.

You code, test, and implement, ensuring that everything runs stable, fast, and error-free. Troubleshooting and devising clever work methods are part of your tasks. You work closely with other Magento developers, back-end developers, product owners, performance marketers, UX designers, customer journey specialists, CRO, and external parties.

• You are responsible for maintaining and further developing the international webshops;
• You assist in solving problems and brainstorming smarter and fasterwork methods for various departments;
• Together with 3 other Magento developers, you are responsible for the Magento environment, and in case of problems, this should be solved together;
• You contribute ideas on the infrastructure, stability, and speed of the Magento environment to arrive at the best solution together;
• Based on your extensive knowledge and experience in your field, you enjoy giving colleagues tips and advice to collectively improve the quality and workflow to a higher level.

Job Requirements

• You are ambitious, driven, enthusiastic, resilient, proactive, and a true team player;
• You have a minimum of 3 years of experience with PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, and Magento;
• You are up-to-date with the latest techniques and methods in your field;
• You are independent and communicatively skilled, and you enjoy contributing new ideas;
• You take pride in your work and welcome feedback;
• You are proficient in both Dutch (preference) and English, both spoken and written.

Offer

What do they offer you? A competitive salary ranging from €3,500 to €5,800 per month based on 40 hours, depending on your experience. You'll also receive 26 vacation days based on 40 hours, with the option to buy an additional 5 days. They reimburse your travel expenses and provide a home office allowance for coffee (or tea) and internet at home. Additionally, they offer a good pension scheme, provide a MacBook or a robust Microsoft laptop, a second screen for your home office, and offer discounts on their assortment.
