Our client is a leading digital print company that was acquired a few years ago by a major player in the industry. This acquisition has enabled them to become a market leader. With 25 years of experience, they specialize in creating unique, custom-made prints using special techniques and materials to achieve a distinctive look.
To streamline processes from order to delivery, they have developed their own MRS and order processing system. With thousands of clients, they have automated 98% of their production, including specialized cutting and production programs, enabling same-day order delivery. Though technically a print company, they operate complex systems to automate both processing and production.
The company has a flat organizational structure, allowing ample room for improvement and optimization. They continuously strive to automate their processes further. For example, in 2015, they processed 30,000 orders per day with 15 employees; today, with advanced automation, they handle 200,000 orders daily with just five team members.
Position overview
As a Software Developer, you will play a vital role in the development and enhancement of applications directly impacting the company's production processes. Based in Houten, you’ll work in a team of four developers on building and optimizing the new production management software "Flow," developed in-house. The company is committed to automating repetitive tasks to ensure scalability, with Flow as a central part of this initiative. The team is also responsible for addressing performance issues and maintaining workflows within the organization. While some of the software is legacy, they are actively updating it daily.
This position involves both front- and back-end development, allowing you to build a broad technical skill set. With your expertise, you will ensure that progress on the shared roadmap is maintained for both yourself and the development team.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with PHP Symfony or Laravel
- Experience with JavaScript and Angular is a plus
- Knowledge of Python is a plus
- Team player
- Strong problem-solving skills
