Our partner is developing a high-quality software platform for the best hosting and cloud services in Europe. They handle the entire software development for over 14 brands, making them the market leader in their industry. Thanks to the products they offer, customers and employees can work in a smart and efficient way. One of the major challenges within this organization is creating a central location for all brands. Each brand uses its own techniques, which need to be transferred, while keeping the products running smoothly, resulting in a piece of legacy software. This project is mainly being undertaken by a team based in Sri Lanka. This is also aimed at the future, as our partner plans to undergo a rebranding in 2025.
It is a very flat organization where everyone has the opportunity to further develop themselves. Since everyone works remotely, there is a high sense of responsibility. Currently, the company has 36 employees, including about 26 engineers, spread over 6 teams. This is in the Netherlands. There is also a team in Sri Lanka. Therefore, the working language is English.
Functie omschrijving
For our client, we're looking for a Product Owner. You'll be part of the product team with three other Product Owners, and you will be working with a maximum of two scrum teams, reporting directly to the Director of Software Development. Sounds like a flat environment with some pretty big impact, right?
But what will you do?
As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for managing the team's backlog, working together with the team to set the right priorities, and ensuring stakeholder expectations are met. Most of the time, you'll be focusing on new features of their products together with your team, which makes the job diverse and challenging!
Key responsbilities;
- Backlog Ownership; manage and prioritze your own backlog
- Detail Definition; define the specifics of what needs to be built
- Quality Assurance: ensure the integrity and quality of the product
- Value Maximization; Work with the team to ensure value is deliverd each sprints
- Team Roadmap; develop and maintain the Teams Roadmap
- Stakeholder Mapping: Create and maintain stakeholders map
- Main Point of Contact: serve as a primary contact for stakeholders and team regarding the scope.
Requirements
- HBO educational background or equivalent work experience
- Proven experience in a similar IT role
- Hands-on experience with SaaS solutions
- Strong understanding of software management and proven experience in coordinating software development projects
- Familiarity with agile methodologies, ideally with experience working in a Scrum team
