The Company
Our partner is a Start-Up from the tech capital of the Netherlands, Eindhoven. The founders are a combination of succesfull entrepreneurs with a shared passion: "Let's fix tiresome digital identity verification processes". We for example have "E-Herkenning" here in the Netherlands a service that is used to verify identification, you need to make a a physical appointment where someone drives by your house, checks your ID, checks a box on an iPad and leaves again + you're forced to pay for it.
Absolutely ridiculous, it's the world we live in. But not for long.
Therefore they've joined forces and decided to change that game in the same way Stripe did for payments and they've raised the capital to do it.
What their solution looks like: A SaaS product that can integrate with the party that wants to verify and uses a QR scanner for whatever credential wallet is used. That's it. Stripe, but for ID verification on a global scale.
And they're looking for a senior software engineer to help them build this and the team.
The Job
You're going to work together with the CTO (who's an expert in Cryptography) to build the platform, the credential wallets and set a architecture. That way they can build a robust, scalable and safe solution that will make the melting between the digital and the physical world so much easier.
Simple.
Simplicity if the name of the game here, however simple doesn't mean easy.
Because what you will be building will be the infrastructure that enterprises will use for digi-id verification. This needs to be build well from the beginning. Not as an afterthought.
The Requirements
- Msc. Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or a similar education.
- Solid experience in backend software engineering. If you're a senior engineer, you know what that means.
- Node.js experience is a hard requirement because that's what it's built in.
- You know your microservices.
- You live in the Eindhoven area or are willing to travel to the office at least 4 days a week. They prefer at this stage to work together in the same space and I can't argue with that logic. Also because of security reasons ofcourse.
