    About the company

    Our client is the Dutch market leader in delivering live assessments. They are active in various sectors. This ranges from government institutions to consultancy. With their state-of-the-art platform, they work together with more than 50 psychologists to create live assessments. These assessments can be used for personal growth internally, but also during application processes. With around 120 employees, spread out over 5 different locations, they have been working on this product for over 95 years. Their main office is in Amsterdam however, where the majority works in a hybrid setting.

    Job Description

    The company offers several platforms which offer customized assessments. This platform allows them to manage the entire process and assessments for candidates. They are currently working on a client and candidate portal. The idea is that it will be all self-service. Customers can then set up assessments themselves, invite their candidates themselves and set the details of the reports. This will allow them to set, for example, which competencies they want measured. The assessments are generally used for hiring new staff, but also, for example, for internal use at organizations to help people realize their growth ambitions. Based on the competencies that are measured, they gain insight into where someone is very strong, but also where they may need to coach someone further to get to that next level.

    About the job

    The Lead Developer is more than just a technical leader. Of course, you are responsible for coaching the team of 9 developers. But you are also expected to go beyond technology and think strategically. While getting the best out of your team, you also understand the business needs to make the right technical decision.

    So, what makes you a lead? In addition to coaching and helping the team thrive, you feel and take responsibility for all technical aspects of the SAAS platform, designing and developing the architecture of the platform, making sure the platform is secure, reliable and performs smoothly to reduce time-to-market, and most importantly, creating the best user experience.

    Some of the things that will be specifically looked at for a Lead, is the knowledge and/or experience in Security, Reliability, DevOps, Architecture, but of course also your technical knowledge in Symfony on the backend and React on the frontend. However, the focus on technology is much more on the backend. It is also important to LTP that as a Lead you are energetic, communicative, driven and proactive. You will also be tested on this during an introduction. There will be a 50/50 balance between working hands-off and programming yourself.

    To summarize who they are looking for:

    • Open-minded team player
    • At least 3 years of leading experience
    • Eagerness to learn, willingness to improve yourself
    • Striving for quality and beauty in code
    • Solid understanding or specific knowledge of Security, Reliability and DevOps
    • Solid understanding of Design Patterns and ability to apply these in practice
    • Experience with version control (they use Git)
    • 6+ years of experience with PHP Symfony, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
    • Experience with React and/or React Native (This is more like a bonus)
