Founding Backend Engineer – Real-time APIs in Python (No Mgmt)

Your Role:

As a Backend Developer, you will be instrumental in scaling, optimizing, and professionalizing our AI automation platform. You’ll design and build high-performance, distributed backend systems that seamlessly integrate AI models into customer workflows. Working closely with machine learning engineers and DevOps specialists, you’ll develop cloud-native services, streamline CI/CD pipelines, and enhance system security and reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize scalable backend services, cloud-based infrastructure, and REST APIs.
• Ensure performance and reliability by refining architecture, monitoring systems, and implementing security best practices.
• Streamline DevOps workflows by improving CI/CD pipelines and optimizing deployments.
• Collaborate on the technical roadmap, working with the CTO and engineering team to drive innovation.

What is required?

• Experience as a Backend Developer, with expertise in Python, Go, Golang
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI or similar backend frameworks
• Background in cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure)
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform
• Proficiency in scaling distributed systems and optimizing backend performance
• Knowledge of API design, RESTful services, and microservices architecture
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar databases, caching solutions
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
• Bonus: Experience with LLM integrations and AI-driven automation
• Residing in the Netherlands and legally authorized to work here
