Data Engineer – €70.000 – €90.000 | Utrecht / Hybrid

About the company

Our client is building a compact, high-impact data team to reduce reliance on external consultants. The company has a clear growth strategy and data plays a crucial role in improving internal operations, platform performance, and strategic decision-making.

As Data Engineer, you’ll design and maintain pipelines, integrate APIs, and feed both Power BI dashboards and external tools used by advertisers. You’ll work closely with the Data Lead and business stakeholders, while enjoying the freedom to experiment and improve.

What you’ll do

• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines (Azure-based, SQL-driven)

• Integrate APIs and external data sources into the warehouse

• Prepare and optimize data for Power BI dashboards and insights tools

• Monitor and improve data quality, validation, and performance

• Handle ad-hoc data requests and complex queries

• Collaborate with the Data Lead on architecture and tooling decisions

What you bring

• 3–6 years of experience in data engineering or BI development

• Strong SQL and ETL/ELT skills (Azure environment)

• Experience with API integrations and Power BI (consuming/feeding datasets)

• Proactive and curious: you don’t wait for tasks, you pull the question

• Fluent in English

• Living in the Netherlands and available in Utrecht 2 days/week

• Valid EU work permit required — no sponsorship
