Our client, a startup SaaS company founded in 2018, is on the verge of transitioning into the scale-up phase. They have developed a cutting-edge software platform for the container and freight forwarding industry, offering innovative, fully digitalized solutions that make global shipping faster, more cost-effective, and seamless.

By digitizing processes such as uploading and tracking tasks and invoices, their software ensures customers maintain control from start to finish. With a customer-centric approach, they develop user-friendly software that improves efficiency and reduces the complexity of global logistics.

What will you be doing?

As a lead Fullstack Developer, you will be working on their customer and operations portal. These portals are set up to modernize the freight forwarding business and to make shipping containers more efficient and smooth. The position is more Back-end focused, but you bring a good deal of knowledge on the Front-end as well. The current team consists out of 6 developers, including 1 CTO. You will get the opportunity to work with the best cloud-based and own-branded software for the logistics branche. Your role will consist out of 90% Development of new functionalities and 10% Operations with a bit more focus on the backend. It's important to always stay innovative, but also to maintain performance as well as keep the stability of the software up and running. Ofcourse it is not a fully focused 100% development role as you will be the lead. 

You're not afraid to face any technical challenges that may show up in the process and you're a true teamplayer! Our ideal candidate likes to take his responsibility, but also likes to help his fellow developers up when they are in need of some coaching. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who likes to grow together with his team and company. As a lead you will take over some roles from the current lead as he has a lot of workflow going on where he really could use your help. Not only your help but also your vision and experience to discuss the problems the company is facing. 

What do you bring to the table?

You are an experienced Fullstack Developer ready to take the next step in your career. You possess both the technical skills and leadership abilities needed to elevate a team. You’re a strong communicator, enjoy teamwork, and know how to motivate and coach your colleagues.

You bring the following skills:

• At least 5 years of experience as a Fullstack Developer
• Expert knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, Vue.js, Node.js, and GraphQL
• A clear vision for software development and a drive to continuously improve
• Experience building scalable and stable software solutions
• Experience with PostgreSQL and TypeORM is a plus
• Soft skills in mentoring, team guidance, and problem-solving
• Reside in the Netherlands or the EU with a valid work permit
